Task 0210 TH
In this image in
the foreground is my niece on a surfboard, arms out balancing and hair a bit
crazy in what appears to be a wet ponytail. The color seems to be so dark
that it really only shows off silhouette.
The focus seems to be on that, the dark colors where the light is
shining only on her back and on the water in front of her. The middle ground shows an adult who is watching
over her as she is trying out surfing. The
background is the white water it seems to set the stage. As an
observer it seems that I am looking on from the front at an even level. The message I get from this photo is that
teacher & learner are expressed in many ways, not just in a school. This is a personal photo that reminds me of
good times with my family.
In this image a brave little girl is in the foreground on a surfboard. The light is shining on the little girl from behind only showing off her silhouette. The dark color of the surfboard give seems to give it solid feeling. The dark color seems to frame the girl. The middle ground, the calm water between two waves, seems to give a message in it’s self, while the background seems rougher water at what she has weathered. As an observer I am looking on from an even level, perhaps a bit above. I believe this photo tells the story of a strong, independent adventurer, and risk-taker!
My intent on changing the message was a personal one. I actually intend to frame this photo and
give it to my niece as a message. I want
it to be a reminder. The first photo was
her being guided and instructed to try out surfing. The second photo however will remind here of
how strong she is all on her own. How
independent and brave she is and to remind her to strong the way she was at
that exact moment.
